Dialysis Jobs

Dialysis jobs are registered nurses that are responsible for preparing patients for dialysis, monitoring the dialysis machine while it operates, and perform the required procedures when the dialysis process is completed. These jobs can be found in clinics, hospitals and outpatient facilities.

The minimal educational requirement for this career is a bachelor's degree. There are many programs for prospective job seekers at community colleges, training schools, and vocational centers. Some employers may require advanced degrees for some positions but licensure is required in all states after successfully passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there is an expected 22 percent increase in employment over the course of the 2008 to 2018 decade. This rate will be much faster than the national average for all occupations.
