Private Duty Nursing Jobs

Private duty nursing jobs are professionals that provide health care services outside of the primary care team. Working within the homes of the patients, an individual with a private duty nursing job administers medication, counsels, and provides information on the condition of the patient to family.

Prospective job applicants should opt for an associate degree, a diploma, or a bachelor's of science degree in nursing from an accredited medical institution. These programs can be found in different cities and can take 2 to 4 years to complete depending on the curriculum. The National Council Licensure Examination must also be passed to receive a nursing license before becoming employed in any state.
