STNA Jobs

STNA jobs give care to patients and perform common tasks under the supervision of other health care professionals. Having more contact with their patients than other members in a health care team, professionals with state tested nursing assistant jobs dress, feed, and bathe their patients.

The minimum educational requirement for a STNA job is at least a high school diploma or its equivalent. Depending on the State of practice and the work setting, the requirements for STNA jobs can vary. Community colleges, vocational centers, and high schools offer formal educational programs for prospective job seekers.

According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, state tested nursing assistant employment is expected to increase faster than the national average for all occupations during the 2006 to 2016 decade. The rate of employment can be attributed to the rising elderly population with additional vacancies occurring from the workers that decide to leave the occupation for other careers or retire from the work force entirely.
