Research Scientist Jobs

Research Scientists jobs discover new methods to improve health care practices. Educationally, research scientist jobs are required to complete 4 years of undergraduate school and 6 years of study in a Ph.D program or a joint M.D. – Ph.D program. For professionals that wish to interact with human patients, the proper licensing must be attained. After completing 1 to 7 years of graduate level medical education, the proper licensing examination must be passed to become certified and practice research.

According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an employment increase of 40 percent is projected to occur over the 2008 to 2018 decade. This rate will be much faster than the national employment average and will be due to the expansions in health care research in illnesses like AIDS, cancer, and others. Budget increases in research funding by the Federal Government will also assist with creating a highly favorable employment climate.
